Software Deal & ROI
Compare the AI tool's purchase model against alternatives.
Open Software ROI Calculator →Estimate whether an AI tool is likely to pay for itself after software cost, API usage, setup time, editing time and uncertainty are included.
Use your own workload and cost assumptions to estimate whether an AI tool is likely to save enough time to justify its total cost.
Tip: Include editing and fact-checking time instead of entering only the AI generation time. This gives a more conservative and useful result.
Results also update automatically as you edit the values. Reset Values sets all numeric fields to 0.
Conservative, base and optimistic scenarios vary the time-savings assumption rather than the product price.

AI tools can make a first draft faster but still require fact-checking, editing, prompt work and quality control. The calculator therefore lets you add review time and reduce the modeled savings with a confidence percentage.
Gross time saved = tasks × (manual minutes − AI minutes − extra review minutes).
Risk-adjusted time value = gross hours saved × hourly value × confidence.
ROI = (risk-adjusted time value − tool/API/setup costs) ÷ tool/API/setup costs.
This model can help when comparing AI tools such as AIWiseMind or a creator tool with usage/API costs such as Thumbium. For a broader buying framework, see the AI Marketing Tool Selection Checklist.
The calculations run in your browser and use the values shown on the page. IM Review HQ does not insert hidden industry averages into the result. Where the calculator offers confidence, growth, conversion or time-horizon assumptions, those assumptions are part of the scenario you choose.
For planning, run at least three versions: a conservative case, a base case and an optimistic case. If a purchase only looks attractive under the most optimistic assumptions, treat that as a risk signal rather than a prediction.
The calculator cannot determine output quality, factual accuracy, business revenue or whether an AI workflow is appropriate for a specific task. Time saved is an assumption you control.
Because AI-generated work often still requires editing and checking. Leaving that work out can overstate the time saved.
Use a lower percentage if the workflow is new or your time-savings estimate is uncertain. A higher percentage fits a workflow you expect to use consistently.
