Three-step workflow

How to Use the Keyword Cannibalization & URL Switching Analyzer

1

Export query + page data

Use a Search Console export that contains Query and Page together. Include clicks, impressions and position when available.

2

Detect competing URLs

The analyzer groups rows by query and measures how much visibility is fragmented across multiple URLs.

3

Review intent before changing URLs

High-risk results are investigation candidates. Confirm whether the pages truly target the same search intent before merging or redirecting.

What this analyzer is designed to tell you

Multiple URLs appearing for one query is not automatically harmful. Large sites often have legitimate overlap. The useful signal is repeated or substantial visibility fragmentation where two or more pages appear to serve the same intent.

Important: The output is a diagnostic signal based on the CSVs you provide. It does not replace direct verification in Search Console, GA4, the live SERP, your tag setup or your content-management system.

Frequently asked questions

Does multiple URLs for one query always mean cannibalization?

No. The tool treats it as a risk signal, not proof of a problem.

What data do I need?

A Search Console export with Query, Page, Clicks and Impressions. Position is optional.

What does the risk score mean?

It combines the number of competing URLs and how much impression share is split away from the leading URL.

Should I redirect every high-risk result?

No. First confirm intent, backlinks, conversions and whether both pages deserve to exist.

Are CSVs private?

Yes. Processing happens in your browser.
